Suffering Experiment - Day #1

Well...we have failed already. Mark and I had dinner at Wendy's. Breakfast and lunch were both a success but dinner fell under one of those "special circumstances" clauses.

We slept over at Mark's parents last night so we could start canning tomatoes early on Monday morning. None of us slept well. Landon and I didn't sleep at all. Landon has been running a mild temperature for a day and a half. Well, around 2:00 pm today, it spiked to 104 and even with Motrin, it wouldn't go down. So we called the doctor's office and they told us to take him to the Primary Children's Emergency Room. So we did. Everything is fine but they want us to bring him back tomorrow if the fever isn't being taken care of by Motrin & Tylenol alternated. Since he had his eye surgery less than a week ago, they are watching the fever closely. Could possibly be an ear infection because he does have a little fluid behind his right eardrum. However, the fluid could be a result of an unseen infection in his eye. We will know a little more tomorrow. So by the time we were done at PCH, it was late, we were starving and we still needed to drive back to Highland to pick up Brynlee. She was with my sister. (Thanks Pammy!!) So needless to say, it was a mixed bag of tricks and a mixed success day. We'll work at it again tomorrow. But for now....

Landon is finally asleep and my tummy is full of a Chicken Club from Wendy's. Yummy!!
